In the UK, there are six million households with ex-horse riders living within.
According to a report by BETA (British Equestrian Trade Association), fifty-one per cent of those ex-riders want to return to the sport.
Why?
They said, “They missed the pleasure of riding.”
I certainly get that.
Due to injury, I can no longer ride.
However, I still love being around horses.
Perhaps, you do too.
You may be one of the fifty-one per cent.
If so, why not get back in the saddle?
Doing so could help the equestrian industry.
Sadly, that same BETA report highlights that the number of riding stables is declining annually (250 closed last year alone).
If you don’t want to ride, you can help horses by supporting one of the many charities that look after bonded and maltreated animals.
We highlight their activities on our Facebook feed.
In the meantime, if you need something for the pony-mad child in your life, for school or stables, click this link and we will be delighted to help.
Best wishes,
