Off To The Stables

As a child, waking up on a day that I would spend at the stables filled me with excitement. 

Happiness too at the prospect of hours with horses and pony pals.

It’s a great feeling and one that makes school holidays memorable and something to look forward to. 

Riding a favourite horse or pony is, of course, top of the priority list, but even stable chores and grooming are all part of the fun.

Hopefully, the horse or pony rider in your life feels the same way.

Here in the UK, “summer” weather can include sun, rain, wind and mud. 

Summer might be different where you live, but,

Over the weekend here in London, we had rain in monsoon proportions.

We moved from a heatwave to downpours in just two or three days.

With all of the above in mind, kit for time at UK stables would do well to include a hoodie or jacket as well as a T-shirt.

And, of course, a bag for lunch and a water bottle.
